Our Programs
HAP focuses on caring for the community in a number of different ways. Since our inception, HAP has cared for the community in the following ways:
- Providing brown bag lunches to those who need it.
- Holding food drives to ensure that people in the community do not go hungry.
- Providing backpacks to youth in the community so they are prepared for the school year.
- Holding a toy drive to give gifts to children in the community.
- Providing emergency kits to prepare for disasters.
- Providing goods and services after a disaster occurs.
Bayou Care Project
The Bayou Care Project is a new project by HAP that provides the necessary items needed in the homes of families in the bayou area. These families have suffered loss from Hurricane Ida and now have a new home built and will need items such as bedsheets, pillows, pillowcases, pots/pans, and much more. HAP wants to ensure that it does its part in helping others by extending a hand of brotherly love.
